# How to Order AI Software: SKUs, Quotes and Purchase Orders

> Iternal software is set up as OEM and distribution SKUs. How a quote becomes a purchase order, what paper you sign to resell, and where coverage stops.

Ordering & Agreements

# How Do You Actually Order the Software —
SKU, Quote or Purchase Order?

Whether the software is a line item you can buy where you sell, what a reseller signs, and
who carries a generated number that turns out wrong.

Built from real buyer questions in our sales meetings

Deals rarely die on the demo. They stall in the last hundred yards, when a partner asks
which line item goes on the order and gets a strategy slide back. Partners put the
unglamorous questions to us repeatedly: is it orderable, can we buy it where we sell, and
what do we sign?

Direct Answer

**Order it as a SKU, through the channel your customer already buys from.**
Iternal products are set up as standard OEM SKUs and loaded with distributors, so the software
rides the bill of materials beside a laptop or a server. The customer issues a purchase order
to its usual partner, the partner orders through distribution or on the OEM SKU, and Iternal
returns a license code and a download link.

**The limit is coverage, and hearing it now beats hearing it at quote
time.** The partner playbook carries none of the tactical pricing, product, SKU or
distributor detail, so ask for the SKU list. Iternal has said its distribution relationships do
not cover every major global distributor, that no policy yet defines whether a reseller may
sub-distribute beneath it, and that it has not run a reseller-billed cloud subscription before,
which leaves that billing structure unsettled.

**Three answers belong in writing before you quote.** That the SKU is orderable
through your distributor in your country. Which paper your motion requires — a referral
document, the reseller agreement, or a rider to an existing master agreement. And what happens
when a generated price is wrong. The
[questions are drafted below](#can-you-buy-it).

**Ordering is the transaction, not the economics and not the program.** For more

## Is It a SKU — and Can You Buy It Where You Sell?

A product that cannot be ordered is a demo. Iternal products are set up as standard Dell
SKUs, Blockify carries an HPE SKU, the AI Blueprint Builder has its own, and Iternal also
sells through Lenovo, HP and Asus. Distributors list those line items on their own sites,
and some bill for them through a cloud marketplace.

**Two shapes behave differently on an order.** A tied SKU joins the bill of
materials of a particular machine and cannot be lifted off it; an untied SKU stands alone
and can be sold after the box has already gone. Where a line item does not exist yet, SKU
and pricing data goes to the distributor on a spreadsheet it loads: about 24 hours at a
distributor, roughly three days at an OEM.

**Region is largely settled; the route is the soft edge.** Iternal states
AirgapAI deploys globally, that every geographic region can be supported, and that pricing
is the same in every region today, with embargoed countries such as Cuba, Iran and North
Korea excluded. Distribution relationships are the part to confirm for your own country:

Pin it down: questions for your evaluation

- Which distributors can you transact through in our country today?
Coverage for your territory before you promise a rollout across it.
- May we sub-distribute the products to resellers beneath us, and on what terms?
A policy Iternal has said is not yet defined, before your channel depends on it.
- If we bill our customer monthly for a hosted subscription, how does billing flow between us, distribution and Iternal?
The one route Iternal has said it has not run before.

## What You Sign: Referral, Reseller Agreement or a Rider to an Existing MSA

The volume of paper tracks the risk you take on. Refer a deal and you sign almost nothing:
Iternal asks partners to register a point of contact rather than execute a partner
agreement, with a red-linable referral co-sell template where commission is involved.
Resell it and the paper turns real.

**Iternal keeps two partner agreements:** a reseller agreement and a master
relationship agreement. The reseller agreement carries the mutual NDA inside it, and
signing it triggers partner portal onboarding; a partner without one signs a mutual NDA
separately. Both are templates meant to be marked up, and Iternal prefers a redlined
document over highlighted additions.

**Whether a rider will do is a legal call, not a preference.** A master
services agreement written to cover your purchase of technology does not by itself cover
your resale of it, which is why legal decides between an addendum and a full reseller
agreement. Commercial terms travel as an attachment: pricing and
discounting off list sit in a Schedule A.

**Two clauses reward a close reading.** The reseller agreement was written
primarily for cloud subscriptions and presumes a cloud component touching customer data,
so its data-processing sections do not apply to an offline AirgapAI-only deal —
confirm in writing that they fall away for your motion. And support obligations survive
termination through the end of that sale term, so your customer stays supported even if
the partnership ends.

## From Quote to Purchase Order: Who Does What

Every stall in a channel transaction traces to an unnamed owner. This sequence names one at
each step:

| Step | Who owns it | What happens |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Confirm or create the line item | Iternal with the distributor or OEM | SKU and pricing data crosses on a spreadsheet the distributor loads — about 24 hours at a distributor, roughly three days at an OEM. |
| Quote the customer | The partner | With no single bundle SKU, the distributor quotes device and license together for the partner, who quotes the customer. |
| Issue the purchase order | The end customer | The customer buys on a purchase order through the partner it already uses. Larger resellers transact direct instead of through distribution. |
| Place the order | The partner | Through distribution or on the OEM SKU, where the software buys like a laptop with no extra paperwork. |
| Fulfill the license | Iternal | A license code and a download link go out; registration is sent to the email address on the purchase order. |
| Install | The customer | A one-click download and roughly five minutes of setup, handled by the customer. |
| Invoice and pay | Iternal | Order processing runs automatically; purchase orders and invoicing move without manual handling. |

**The method follows the volume.** Website ordering is a card checkout, and
a buying pattern moves from checkout to invoicing as volume grows. A license key is
issued with the order, and the application verifies it offline against a public key baked
into the app — no activation server, no license check over the network, no
phone-home, so the air gap survives the entitlement. The same design means Iternal has no
live view of where a copy is running, which makes the quantity on the purchase order the
number to get right.

## If a Generated Price or Configuration Is Wrong, Who Carries It?

Partners raised this one in sharp words. A customer could see generated pricing and hold
the reseller to that price. A generated configuration a partner orders against could leave
a distributor arguing after the fact, or turn into a profit leak through legal. When the
automation is wrong, the consequence lands on the purchaser desk — and in a channel
deal the purchaser is you.

**The stated position: generated numbers scope, they do not quote.** Every cost
figure the platform produces is a budgetary, consulting-grade estimate in low, medium and
high ranges rather than a final definitive cost, and Iternal deliberately stays out of
configuration-level output. Iternal advises keeping a human in the loop on generated
output.

**The last mile is yours, which is also your protection.** A partner can run the
engagement without granting customer portal access, then repackage the deliverables.
Review the ranges, price your own offer, and the number the customer sees is one you
stand behind.

Pin it down: questions for your evaluation

- Does the customer-facing deliverable carry the budgetary-estimate language on the same page as the numbers?
Whether a customer can read a scoping range as a firm quote.
- Who bears the cost when a configuration ordered through distribution turns out to be wrong?
Where the exposure sits, in writing, before an order tests it.
- What does the agreement say about warranties on output the platform generates?
Where Iternal responsibility ends and partner responsibility begins.

FAQ

## FAQ: Ordering, SKUs and Agreements

Yes. Iternal products are set up as standard Dell SKUs, Blockify carries an HPE SKU, the AI Blueprint Builder has its own, and distributors list them on their own sites. Reach is the caveat: Iternal has said its relationships do not cover every major global distributor.

Days, not quarters: about 24 hours at a distributor and roughly three days at an OEM, once SKU and pricing data goes over on the spreadsheet the distributor loads. Coverage stays selective, so ask for the current SKU list.

Your legal team decides, because a master services agreement covering your purchase of technology does not by itself cover your resale of it. Iternal keeps a reseller agreement and a master relationship agreement; the reseller agreement carries the mutual NDA, and signing it starts partner portal onboarding.

The end customer issues a purchase order to the partner it already buys from. The partner orders through distribution or on the OEM SKU, and Iternal returns a license code and a download link, with registration sent to the email address on the purchase order.

Only the embargoed ones, such as Cuba, Iran and North Korea. Iternal states AirgapAI deploys globally, that every geographic region can be supported, and that pricing is the same in every region today. Ask which distributors Iternal transacts through in your country.

Generated cost figures are positioned as budgetary, consulting-grade estimates in low, medium and high ranges rather than a final definitive cost, and Iternal stays out of configuration-level output. The last mile is the partner protection: repackage the deliverables and price your own offer.

## Get the SKU List Before You Build the Quote

Three answers resolve most of the transaction: which line items exist at your distributor,
which agreement your motion requires, and what the paper says about generated output.
All three cost less to collect now than halfway through an order.
